Principal's Message

Diverse ~ Accepting ~ Inclusive Community

Dear Parents, Families and Friends,

If I look hard enough out my window, I can see the finish line. The shimmer of the end of Term is in the distance. It is unclear, but I can feel its presence. We are over the halfway mark and so much has happened over the last five weeks of this Term that it is difficult to remember it all. Every student has a different memory of each occasion. Last week, we finished with a superb Summer Sports Carnival, which could only be organised so brilliantly by Jake Butler in the Physical Education Department. A combination of Dodgeball, Rock Wall, Chess, Table Tennis, Science Challenge, Theatre Sports, Basketball and Futsal - what an assortment, and something for everyone!

We are currently in the middle of the Year 12 exams. Even though this is a significant event on any secondary school’s calendar, it is not an event that should define Year 12 students and what the future holds for them. However, these are stressful times. I remind everyone to find your CARING qualities (remember Striving, Seeking and Caring) to support our students to STRIVE to do their best.

Several important events are happening next week to celebrate the conclusion of Year 12 for the Class of 2022. These events are worthy of being placed in your diary, and I invite you to join us in celebrating the achievements of our students.
