Dear Parents,

Our weather has been extremely unpredictable this week. Thank you to all of our parents for sending their child/ren to school with jackets and warm clothing. It is definitely needed at the moment.

Thank you to our K-2 staff for the wonderful day at the Infants Athletics Carnival last Friday. A terrific day of running and activities was enjoyed by all of the children. Thank you to the many parents who attended the carnival to support the children.

Congratulations to Mr Thackray and the BPS Cricket Team on a great win against Millthorpe PS last Friday. Our team played extremely well and now meet Nashdale PS in the next round of the NSW PSSA Cricket Knockout. Well done to everyone involved.

For the past few weeks, our current Year 5 children have been engaged in work in preparation for the School Captains and Vice Captains and House Captains and Vice Captains elections for the 2023 Leadership Team. This week, Year 5 have voted for the top 8 girls and boys who will be our School Captain and Vice Captain nominees for 2023 and will present speeches to the school on Tuesday 15th November. Voting for School Captain and Vice Captains and House Captain and Vice Captains will take place on Tuesday 15th November, after speeches, by all children K-5.

Preparations for our school concert are continuing and the excitement is growing. Please don't forget to purchase your ticket through the Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre box office or BMEC online. Please contact your child's teacher if you are unsure of what children are required to wear for their performance.

Next Wednesday, 9th November 2023, is our Come and Try an Instrument Day for the band program in 2023. Staff from the Mitchell Conservatorium will visit the school to run the day. More information and costings are outlined in the Newsletter.
