Remembrance Day Assembly - 2022

We will be holding our school’s Remembrance Day Assembly from 10:45am to 11:00am on Friday 11th November.   Parents, Grandparents & visitors are most welcome to attend. Please sign in at the office. 

Towards the end of this Assembly, a wreath will be placed at the base of the flag pole by our school captains, on behalf of the DPWPS community. Other students are most welcome to bring along flowers from home on Friday 11th November, if they would like to participate in this part of the assembly. 

Parent/Guardians please note: Students from all classes, Foundation to Six will be attending this assembly. You are asked to notify your child’s classroom teacher in writing by Wednesday 9th November if you do not want your child/children to participate in this service - for religious or cultural reasons.

Movember

During the duration of November, Mr Camilleri will be participating in Movember helping to raise awareness for men’s health and suicide prevention.

Movember is the leading charity changing the face of men's health. Together we can make a difference for men's health – in prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention. Globally, the rate of suicide is alarmingly high, particularly in men. Too many men are ‘toughing it out’, keeping their feelings to themselves and struggling in silence.

The school will be running a fundraiser on Friday the 25th of November. Students, staff, and families will be able to contribute a gold coin donation (or more) on this day. Mr Camilleri will be also be saying goodbye to my moustache, which will be shaved off during our school assembly.
