Telescope Training

We have just had our final training session on using the new telescope. This involved learning how to align it properly and then using the sophisticated software and camera. This whole process is so impressive, especially when compared to old way of doing it all manually. Once we have mastered this, we’ll be able to view and then create spectacular photos of planets, distant spiral galaxies, comets, nebulas – we’ll never run out of objects. The next stage is to have the student team master all this so that they will be producing the photos themselves. Once they have the skills and confidence, they will be running astronomy evenings for students, parents and teachers. Exciting times ahead.
