College Captains' Report

As the 2022 comes to a close, it's an important time to reflect on the year gone past.

With this being our first school year on site uninterrupted by COVID restrictions since 2019, there were many new opportunities available throughout the year. Some of these exciting events included the Year 11 formal, camps across various year levels, and the 'High School Musical' production.

We hope that students across the school enjoyed, and made the most of the year, and that 2023 can be even more exciting.

2023 is also a big year for the Beaumaris community as we'll have students in all year levels, 7-12. On Tuesday 13 December the new Year 7s come in for their orientation, which will be an exciting day for them as they begin their journey transitioning to high school.

Current students have also begun their transition into the new year, during the BE program over the past 2 weeks. This gave students an opportunity to get a taster for their new subjects/specialisms and to meet new people from their classes.

Finally, this week marks the beginning of Micro-credentials week. During the course of the week, students have the option to refine their skills in a number of areas such as public speaking and debate, aerobics, or even sushi-making and origami! There's a number of interest areas, and there's really something for everyone.

Thank you to everyone for a wonderful year, we look forward to seeing you all back at school on the first day of Term 1 (31st of January) next year!
