Library News

A note from Mrs Melanie Bulmer

The library has continued to be a popular place for students to come and read, play and relax both before school and at lunchtime. It has been a pleasure to get to know many students from K-6 that like to visit regularly and engage in a daily conversation about books or topics of interest to each student. The many offers to help shelve books, pack away toys, and have a turn at using the scanner are always greatly appreciated.

At the beginning of this term, we offered the Scholastic Book Club for interested parents and carers. The support of this initiative was overwhelming and our library has benefited from many awards points to go towards purchasing new books to add to and expand on our collection. These new books will be available and ready to borrow when students return in the new year.

As we draw closer to the end of the year, the library stocktake is well underway. Thank you to parents and carers who have supported their children to find their library books or who have sent me messages regarding lost or unknown books on overdue lists.

Thank you for your continued support of the library this year. I wish everyone a very happy and safe holiday season with family and friends.

Happy reading
