Leadership

Welcome Back to School

We hope all families are currently enjoying the holiday break. This is our first main 2023 issue of the newsletter. This issue mainly reminds families that school begins on Monday, 30/01/2023, for our student's Year 1 to Year 6. Our Foundation students have assessment interviews that were organised with families in 2022.

OOSH

Our OOSH program is available as of Monday for both Before and After School Care. This service is only available to families who are current users or to new users who have submitted their enrolment forms.

Entering the School

Since last year, the building works have required some pedestrian access changes.

  • The old single pedestrian gate is now permanently closed to all students and families.
  • The new pedestrian access point will now be the driveway gates. We have closed off the staff carpark to car access. This area will, over the course of the building works be converted into a play area for students.
  • Staff and visitors will now park in the dedicated carpark east of the driveway further up Murphy Street- the old Cases car park.
  • The pedestrian access from the lane will continue to be available before and after school.

Bike Storage and Conditions

Students may continue to ride their bikes or scooters to school. Storage will be along the east boundary next to the lane. The bike racks at the front of the school will also be available to students.

We ask students when riding to school they obey the following conditions:

  • When entering or leaving, they do not continue riding their bike on the school grounds.
  • When riding their bike or scooter, they are wearing a helmet.
  • The bike or scooter must be locked with a suitable bike lock.
  • Families are aware that the school takes no responsibility for bikes or scooters being damaged or stolen while on school premises.

Parents E-bikes

We are requesting that parents park their e-bikes in the old staff carpark. This will reduce congestion at drop-off and pick-up times.

School Council Election

We must hold a school council election at the beginning of each school year. We have four parent vacancies and two DET vacancies. The duration of the role is two years - 2023 -2024.
