Captain's Corner

Welcome GWPS families to our final newsletter of this year. It is unbelievable that it’s already the end of the year. Firstly, we want to thank all the teachers, parents and Mr Catalano for working with the student leadership team to improve our school.

This year was a blast, we have done so many fun and exciting things, for example cross country, athletics, the handball competition, camp, Fun Run, Twilight Sports and we even had the Year Threes do a camp experience. 

This is such a nostalgic time for us. After 7 years in a safe, secure and familiar place, we are suddenly thrown into a different environment. As Year 6’s we finally understand how much we have gone through and are excited and nervous for what is to come. 

This year has been the best year of primary school, and we would like to thank many people. Firstly, to Mr. Catalano, Mr Welsh, Mr Lewis and all the other teachers who have helped coach, guide and support us to becoming the leaders we are today. Thank you to every single teacher and parent in this school community who have contributed to make this year memorable and interesting. We will never forget you and everything you have done. 

Again, thank you so much for giving us countless opportunities to use and develop our leadership skills at school. We hope we have left a positive impact at our school, and we wish the best for your future endeavours. We wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a safe and happy new year!
