Colour Explosion/Diwali

Last Friday was an exciting time for the school community. We celebrated Diwali and had a Colour Explosion!

It was great to see the enthusiasm of all the students and families that participated.

The students enjoyed choosing their sunglasses, the obstacle course and their very yummy icy-pole at the end.

A massive thanks goes to all the volunteers for making this day possible as well as all the effort families have made to raise money for the school.

We will be getting the final tally soon!

Curriculum Day

On Monday we had a Curriculum Day. We were fortunate enough to have Chris Brown come out to the school to work with the teachers around our School goal for the year, Reading.

Chris has been to America to study and has been trained by Irene Fountas an international expert in Literacy. He shared with us how we can further develop our teaching and learning of Reading. It was an amazing experience and it was also encouraging for him to say how impressed he is with our Literacy Program and our teacher’s capacity.
