All Year 7 and 8 students have been provided with usernames and passwords and Year 9 and 10 students can see library staff to register. Students who complete the Challenge will receive value cards, a signed certificate by Premier Daniel Andrews, house points and an extra special celebration surprise hosted by the Library later in the year.

Well done to Sin Lai and Mariama Camara, both from 7B and Siratpreet Kaur from 7G for completing the Challenge so early in the year. It is a joy to see these students coming in to the Library on most days of the week, borrowing and reading books.

LIBRARY DISPLAYS

A big thank you goes out to our two library assistants, Roberta Cecchini and Mitchell George.  Roberta has created some very creative and funky library displays to draw attention to the importance of reading, wide variety of fiction genres and more. Meanwhile, Mitchell has been busy drawing attention to genres in fiction by placing stickers on our crime, horror, Aboriginal, science fiction, fantasy, LGBTQ and romance titles. This will help our students locate these books.

LIBRARY HELPERS

We appreciate our lovely library student helpers at lunchtime. They include Harparneet (Year 9), Armina (Year 10) Jaafar A (Year 11) and Victoria W (Year 10). These students do amazing work as they assist library staff with desk duties and computer or printing issues. As we know, the Library can get incredibly busy at lunchtime with students coming in to print, research, do homework, play board games or just find a quiet and warm place to retreat to. Therefore, any extra assistance is always welcomed.
