LEARNING DIVERSITY

Term 3 is a busy time for our Learning Diversity Team with PSG meetings, goal setting, and camps all mixed into the educational journey. We are pleased to have welcomed back Ms Teagan Saleta this term from parental leave. She has jumped straight back into the busy school life.

PROGRAM SUPPORT GROUP MEETINGS

Program Support Group meetings are occurring currently through weeks 3 to 9 this term. I really enjoy meeting with students and parents and discussing progress, setting and reviewing goals, and considering future pathways. Subject selection and pathways are always an important consideration at this point of the year. If you have not been able to attend a meeting and you would like to, please contact me and we can make the arrangements.

PERSONAL LEARNING PLANS

Personal Learning Plans from Semester 1 were available in PAM with the students' End of Semester 1 Academic Reports. These have evaluative feedback and give a summary of the adjustments that teachers have made for your child. Semester 2 Personal Learning Plans will be released shortly, after the proofreading stage.

GRADE 6 TRANSITION

I have had a number of parents of Grade 6 students contact me regarding 2024. I will send out emails to parents and arrange meetings for Term 4. Extra transitions and school visits can occur. The college will contact primary schools and look at appropriate dates and times in Term 4.

NCCD

The National Consistent Collection of Data of students with disabilities submission has been made. Students who meet the criteria have been included in this national census. Parents can find more information about the census on the NCCD website www.nccd.com. All students that meet the criteria of imputed or diagnosed disability, where there is a functional impact on their education that requires an adjustment must be represented in the count. A thorough process has been conducted to ensure the evidence of identification, adjustments, monitoring, evaluation, and collaboration have been met.
