AUSTRALIAN DEFENCE FORCE STUDENT INFORMATION SESSION

Based in Canberra, students who join ADFA have a unique opportunity to receive advanced military and leadership training whilst studying a range of degrees from the University of New South Wales (UNSW). Upon graduation, students are guaranteed a career in the Navy, Army, or Air Force and will have their degree fully funded, graduating HELP-debt free. Students who graduate from ADFA move into a range of exciting and varied jobs as officers, these range from pilots, civil engineers, logistics and finance officers, mission controllers, and much more.

RIVERSIDE TRADE TRAINING CENTRE

The Riverside Trade Training Centre (RTTC) is located at St Joseph’s College Mercy campus.

Our Facility provides students with opportunities to undertake Vocational Education and Training (VET) courses as part of their secondary school studies.

Students have been cooking up a storm through their Certificate II in Cookery, learning about food preparation, the role of a cook, working in a commercial kitchen and hospitality setting, and developing their employability skills.

Our Salon assistant students are currently learning more about the practical skills within a real salon setting. This will assist them to pursue further training or an apprenticeship.

If you would like any information on VET courses that will be on offer for the 2024 school year at the Riverside Trade Training Centre (RTTC), please contact Ms Hayley Wilson hwilson@sjcmda.vic.edu.au.

STRUCTURED WORKPLACE LEARNING (SWL)

Our VCE Vocational Major students have been able to experience real-world work through their structured workplace learning. Students can relate theory to their on-the-job placement.
