Communications

I am probably speaking to the converted here but it is important that all families keep up-to-with everything that's happening at school.

The school uses a variety of modes to communicate information to families with the most comprehensive being the School Newsletter. Our weekly newsletter shares all things school related including organisational arrangements, upcoming events, schedule changes, updates, policies, news, articles, and community happenings to engage families in school life.

For the most accurate and up-to-date information, this is the place to go!

And by the way, did you know that you translate our newsletter into your preferred language (powered by Google Translate) by simply clicking the 'Language' button at the bottom of the page.

In addition to our Newsletter, our school uses a variety of media to share information with families-

  • The School App
    • Android or iOS provides links to the newsletter, forms, calendar, galleries and absentee forms and allows us to send out important notifications and can be downloaded from Google Play or Apple Store
  • Email
    • Used for formal communications either to a select cohort or to the whole school
  • Operoo
    • Used to distribute forms, call for volunteers, collect consent and signatures and safely share medical data
  • Class Dojo
    • A less formal way to share class news and events along with learning moments and individual successes
  • Facebook
    • A medium used to celebrate and promote school events and build community spirit
  • Website
    • Provides whole-scale information to existing and prospective families including the full school calendar

Movie Night

You may wish to highlight in your diaries our upcoming Movie Night which is scheduled for Friday 25th August.

Last Term our SRC took a shortlist of movies (available from Roadshow) to their learning communities and put it to the vote with the 'winning' movie being The  Super Mario Brothers.

This will be a  student-only event commencing at 5:30pm so keep an eye out for more details in the weeks to come.

God bless

Anthony Hyde
