Charlie F - Prep B
This term, Charlie has been putting a lot of effort into his writing. In class time, he works hard to write all of the sounds that he hears in words and to use spaces. He takes on feedback from Miss Feldtmann to improve his writing by adding detail and writing on the lines. Well done Charlie and keep up the wonderful work!
Emily T - 2A
Emily has shown incredible persistence and effort towards improving her writing during her time in Grade 2. She has worked to develop as a writer, particularly in her handwriting and writing stamina. Last term, Emily showed her talents as an author in her Information text about falcons, and she has continued to impress her teacher during our exploration of procedural texts this term. I look forward to reading more of the books you author throughout the rest of the year and beyond. Well done Emily T!
Bo P - 5/6A
When planning for her discussion paper and considering ‘arguments for’ and ‘arguments against’, Bo documented each point with insightful conviction. Research and a range of persuasive techniques reveal her debating potential. Fabulous focus Bo!
Paige S - 6A
Paige comes to her book club meetings with evidence from the text to support her thinking. She challenges her fellow book club members by posing insightful questions in order for her to make sense of the text. Keep the high level engagement you have, Paige!
Maths
Sophia O - Prep A
Sophia always approaches our Math lessons with a positive attitude. She willingly takes on new learning and willingly takes on challenges to extend her learning. When exploring 3-dimensional objects Sophia demonstrated her understanding of spheres, cubes and cones when building a robot with playdoh.
Matilda K - 2B
For demonstrating their strong understanding of finding a total number from an array. They were able to challenge themselves by describing an array with both rows and columns when the instruction asked for one method. It has been wonderful to see you demonstrate a confident and growth mindset towards maths. Excellent effort Matilda!
Christian H - 5B
Christian has adeptly embraced the role of a mathematician by actively engaging with real-world problems centred around division and interpreting the remainder in different contexts. Not only employing the mathematical proficiencies of Understanding, and Problem Solving, Christian showcased Reasoning, as he explained the ‘why’ for his results. Well done and keep up this fabulous approach to your learning!

Johnny is curious about everything happening around him, every minute, every hour and every day. This is evident in class discussions when he takes risks to solve mathematical problems, when he listens to new book reviews and immediately wants ro read it, and when he explores interesting idioms and coding during STEAM activities.
