Year 10 Careers Week

Careers Week was completed this week by our Year 10 cohort. They completed a range of different activities during the week around Career Action Plans, presentations from the Pat Cronin Foundation. visiting Victorian University and plenty more throughout the week. The activities gave our students a greater understanding of what their future pathways might look like to make their subject selections at the conclusion of the week. We hope the students had a great week and would like to thank the Careers Team for all their hard work putting the week together!

Year 9 Careers Day

Our Year 9 cohort will undertake a Career’s Day on Tuesday the 1st of August. This Careers Day will once again give our students the opportunity to explore their pathways forward and complete their subject selections for next year. Year 9 into 10 brings a greater opportunity for students to pick a range of elective subjects to begin shaping their future careers.

Parent/Teacher Conferences

Parent/Teacher Conferences are on the 16th of August. We encourage parents and students to attend these conferences with teachers to gain a greater understanding of how they are going in the classroom. These are great opportunities for parents, staff and students to collaborate around the students' learning - setting goals and plans moving forward, to allow the best learning environment for the students to succeed here at North Geelong Secondary College.

Rewards Excursion

Last Friday we took ten students from each year level in Years 7-10 to Laserquest in Geelong. This rewards excursion was to acknowledge all the hard work that these students have consistently applied to their learning in 2023 to date. It was a pleasure to attend with these students and to have them recognised for all their hard work. You have consistently gone above and beyond and always display our College values of Respect, Achievement, Diversity and Excellence. Keep up the great work in Semester Two!
