Senior School Report 

Dear Reservoir High School Community, 

We hope this newsletter finds you in good health and high spirits. The past few months at Reservoir High have been filled with exciting events, academic endeavours and opportunities for personal growth. Let's dive into the highlights of June and July! 

First - the Year 12 Formal, and what a night it was! The Black and Gold Formal held at Emerald Receptions was an unforgettable event, filled with elegance, laughter and camaraderie. Our seniors graced the venue in their stunning attire, making memories that will last a lifetime. We commend the efforts of the organizing committee for putting together such a fantastic event and celebrate the fact that almost every single year 12 attended, making the night truly special.

I want to congratulate all our students studying a Unit 3/4 subject who recently participated in the General Achievement Test (GAT). We witnessed your determination and hard work during this essential assessment, which is an important step in your VCE journey. Now that the GAT is behind you, we encourage you to continue your dedication to your studies and strive for excellence in all your endeavors. Remember, you have the support of the entire Reservoir High School community behind you.

At Reservoir High School, we believe in fostering strong connections and unity among our senior students. Recently, we've been focusing on building meaningful relationships and creating a supportive atmosphere within each year level, from team-building activities to group discussions, to competitive Staff Vs Student sports matches. 

Our Senior Students have represented the student body admirably and are keen to even up the scores soon. As we approach the end of the year, all Year 11s have undergone course counselling to finalise their VCE pathways in 2024. I want to remind all current Year 11 students about the importance of VCE course counselling and how our dedicated Subschool and Careers team are available to provide guidance and support, as you make crucial decisions about your future pathways. Whether you're considering university, TAFE, an apprenticeship, or employment, our staff will help you explore your options and tailor a pathway that aligns with your interests and aspirations. Don't hesitate to reach out to them for assistance.

Finally, the upcoming VTAC Information Evening on Monday, 7th August, is a crucial event for all Year 12 students and their families. Learn about the VTAC application process, key dates, and how to apply for tertiary courses. We strongly encourage all students to attend and gain a better understanding of their post-secondary education options.

In closing, we want to emphasize that this year is about more than academics – it's about personal growth, building connections, and embracing the journey. Let's support one another and continue to make your final year(s) at Reservoir High School one to remember!
