Teaching and Learning in Prep C

The last couple of weeks have been very exciting in Prep!

Tuesday 1st August marked Prep students’ 100th day of school and to celebrate their success, we had a party. Students traded in their LPS school uniform for the day and donned their best grandma and grandpa attire. The ‘oldies’ entered their decorated classrooms, greeted their 100 year old teachers and enjoyed a day full of fun activities centred around the number 100. The grandma’s and grandpa’s enjoyed making crowns, paper glasses, necklaces with 100 Cheerios, playing Race to 100 and receiving their 100 day certificates. We had an absolute blast!

On Wednesday 26th August, Preps became ‘wild explorers’ for the day at the Melbourne Zoo. Students were told by zookeepers to look up, look down and look all around and they spotted lots of incredible animals throughout the day. As they explored, students saw lots of different habitats and discovered what animals need to survive.
