Wakakirri 2023
On the 15th of August, the Wakakirri kids drove to Frankston to perform their story about Bucket.
The story Bucket was about a boy whose bucket was emptied by bullies and a joyful student named Punky helped him and introduced him to a world full of colours.
The Queen of Colours then showed Bucket confidence and trust and other resources to help him. Later Bucket and some colour friends then stood up to the bullies and showed them kindness and all became friends.
We won The Spirit of Wakakirri award and Storytelling Award for Great use of Drama.
The feedback we got was amazing, Wakakirri judge Christopher Politis said “Wow! I was captivated from start to end. This is such a great message important to all childrens lives. The production value was really high! Great costumes and set helped tell the story. Overall this was a really slick production!”
The performance was amazing and so much fun. It was like the audience was all there for just us!
