Campus Has Talent

Campus Has Talent will be held next week on Wednesday 9th August - Week 3 of Term 3. The performance starts at 6.30pm – students involved are required at 6pm in the Performing Arts Centre.

Our talented student performers auditioned in class last term for a spot, and were notified via a note home in Week 1 of this term. Performers will have the opportunity to perform in front of an audience, and to compete for a winner’s trophy or runner-up medal in a fun, supportive competition!

Parents and friends of students involved should already have registered their child and booked their seats through the link provided on the notice their child brought home. If you have not already done this, please contact the Campus Office immediately or register via this link

The wider Campus community is also welcome to attend. If you are NOT the parent of a student involved and would like to attend, please register to book your seats online at the following link

Please note that seats will be limited by our capacity and will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. We look forward to sharing this exciting event with you!

Term 3 will be another exciting term full of many sporting opportunities. There is a focus on Invasion games this term; Invasion games are games in which the aim is to invade an opponent's territory and score a goal or point. These are typically fast-paced games that need teamwork in order to control the ball, keep possession, move into a scoring position, and prevent the opposition from scoring.

During our Invasion Game unit we will welcome SEDA College students to run Football and Netball sessions with our Junior Primary classes. Pilgrim was also successful in receiving Sporting Schools funding for term 3, we have booked a 3-week Ultimate Frisbee program (Ulti-Mates) to be held later in the term.

SACSA

Some of our Year 5 & 6 girls will also be competing in the SACSA Netball carnival. This will be the first Netball team Pilgrim has sent to compete in a few years. Mrs Mel Carpenter will be coaching the team and we are excited to see how they go.

Kind regards

Canteen Helpers

The Campus Canteen is seeking helpers to be added to the ‘back up roster’ to cover the canteen in the event that the Canteen Manager is unwell or absent. There will be a honorarium when a helper takes up this level of responsibility.

We would also love to hear from anyone that would like to volunteer (unpaid) in assisting the Canteen Manager. This could be a regular weekly timeslot or a few times a term.

Please contact the Pilgrim Front Office if you would like more information.

Campus Office Hours

In Term 3 we will welcome back Bianca Henderson, Campus Administrator. The Campus Office will be open Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 8.30 - 4pm.

Second Hand Uniform Sales

With Devon having limited stock this term and our new uniform supplier starting next term, we are experiencing greater demand for second hand uniform items. If you have clean uniform items in great condition that your family no longer needs, please consider contributing them to the second hand uniform pool. Families receive 50% of sales with the other 50% going towards P&F funds.

While the last of our roof restoration is occuring, our second hand uniform pool is not directly accessible but please let the Front Office staff know if you are needing an item and they will find an opportunity to check stock for you. We appreciate your patience during this time.
