Art

Mentone Campus

After a tumultuous 2020 which many Visual Arts students spent working from home, it has been wonderful to welcome students back to the visual arts studios here at St. Bede’s again for semester 1, 2021.

Working in-person and with the excellent facilities provided here at the college has meant students can once again engage their creativity and put into action their ideas and imagination.

In semester one we have welcomed a whole new cohort of Year 7 students, as well as returning Year 8’s, Year 9 & 10 electives, and year 11 & 12 VCE Art students. A wide range of two and three-dimensional artworks have been produced using mediums as diverse as traditional painting and sculpture, to filmmaking, photography and digital art.

To cap off the semester a number of students from each year level were also selected to participate in the ACC Arts & Technology Show, which exhibited at the prestigious Fed Square building over five days.

We look forward to welcoming new 7-10 cohorts for semester two and continuing to explore our creativity in 2021.
