Classroom Connections,

Prep Classes.

It has been a busy and exciting start to Term 2 for our prep students. We have been learning about our new Inquiry unit, different math topics and we even had a ‘Working Bee!’

This term, our unit of Inquiry is ‘People in the community keep us safe.’ We have been

learning about what a community is and the people who keeps us safe. Mr. Chant and Mrs. Walker spoke to the Preps about how they keep our school community safe. We were also lucky enough to have two Police officers, from Moorabbin come talk to us about their role in the community.

In Mathematics we have been learning about how to represent numbers using a tens frame and a number line. We have also explored number pairs that make ten.

On Sunday 2nd of May Prep families and students participated in a school ‘Working Bee.’

We pulled weeds and spread mulch on the garden behind the SLC on Sebastopol St. It was great to see so many families and students contributing to our school community.
