Digital Safety and STEM

@ St Louis

All students attending St Louis de Montfort's Aspendale have the right to feel safe. The care, safety and wellbeing of children and young people is a fundamental responsibility of all within our school.

Digital Safety - Hints and Tips for our families

Time Online

This week we share another interesting resource created by our friends over at eSafety Commissioner about how to manage time online, with lots of helpful hints that can be used at home.

Here's a snapshot below.

We'll also reshare the links to their parent focused webinars and how to register if you are interested.

We hope you find what we share informative and helpful. Please feel free to send over any other helpful resources or articles you find connected to digital safety to me at twood@stlouisaspendale.com

Year 6 STEM learning this week

Year 6

2 classes from our year 6 level finally got the chance to cook in class, exploring food waste and recipes that promote the use of foods that are more likely to be wasted.

Not only was there great enthusiasm for the opportunity to eat what they made, but our students are really beginning to be able to share reasons why we need to raise awareness of the work of organisations such as OzHarvest and become Changemakers for our community in this area.

Check out some in-action shots below as well as the recipe we followed to cook banana pikelets. We'd love to see pictures of you cooking these at home, promoting the use of food that could be wasted. Feel free to email them to me twood@stlouisaspendale.com and I'll share them in next week's newsletter.
