Principal's News

All students attending St Louis de Montfort's Aspendale have the right to feel safe. The care, safety and wellbeing of children and young people is a fundamental responsibility of all within our school.

Good afternoon families,

Hopefully we have started to come down the other side of the covid/ flu peak. We are about a week behind with the building project but hopefully the concrete slab will be poured next week.

Monday 8 August is the Feast Day of Mary Mackillop, the patron saint of our parish- Mary of the Cross. To celebrate the students will be participating in a liturgy and having a special lunch of sushi.

I have started to meet with the staff this week for their Annual Review meetings. This is a great opportunity for me to meet with each staff member on an individual basis to discuss their professional goals and to recognise their achievements.

100 Days of School

On Wednesday our Prep students celebrated a100 days at school. Thank you for all the effort the parents put into the costumes, The preps had a great day but I was so happy to see our 'young' preps back on Thursday. Thank you to the prep teachers for all their work to make this day such a great event.

Car Park Safety

We have noticed some unsafe use of our carpark over the last few weeks and would like to give families a reminder of our carpark procedures.

  • All student getting dropped off outside of the drop off zone in the carpark must use the Zebra crossing even when they are with an adult.
  • The carpark is a 5km p/h zone.
  • Enter the front of the school on the path next to the power box alongside the driveway. Please do not walk up the drive where cars are driving.
  • There is no right turn into the carpark - this is an illegal turn and people have been fined for this previously.

School Advisory Council

The school Advisory Council met on Tuesday and we discussed the enrolments for 2023; the staffing budget for 2023 and the Review process that will take place in the last week of this term. I will be putting the photos and bio of each Council member on the website. These Council members represent all the parents of St Louis and if you have any questions they can bring these to the Council meeting.
