CURRICULUM DAYS FOR TERMS 3 AND 4

Below are the dates of our student-free days for this year. Please make sure you have these dates in your diary as students are not required at school on these days:

TERM 3 CURRICULUM DAY:  FRIDAY 29TH JULY

This day will be held on FRIDAY 29th JULY. Kath Coff from Nalderun will be working with staff on ways aboriginal perspectives can be incorporated into lesson planning.

TERM 3 PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE DAY:  FRIDAY 16TH SEPTEMBER

Normally parents would not likely be aware of these days as we employ casual replacement staff and so children attend as usual. However, due to difficulty in accessing replacement staff at this time, the department has announced that, for this term only, this day will be a student-free day. This is a recent announcement and means this term will have a second student-free day. At this time we are considering holding this day on the last day of term - Friday 16th September.

TERM 4 CURRICULUM DAY:  MONDAY 31st OCTOBER 

This is the day before the cup day holiday. This is a day we have a low rate of attendance as many families go away for an extended long weekend, so this day is commonly taken as a curriculum day as it does not greatly interfere with parents' work.
