Fiona Elsey Cancer Research Institute VCAL Visit

At the beginning of the term, our VCAL students were privileged to tour the Fiona Elsey Cancer Research Institute and learn about the incredible projects the institute is undertaking. Our VCAL students will be organising a walkathon later this term to fundraise for FECRI; we’ll be sharing more details about this soon.

 

Fiona was a Year 8 student at BHS when she sadly passed away of Ewing’s Sarcoma and therefore this is an organisation close to our heart. Alum Farah Ahmady is also a Research Assistant at the institute and has just completed her PhD thesis into Ovarian Cancer. 🙌🏼
