GRANDSHAKE VIRTUAL WORK EXPERIENCES

Grandshake offers a ton of awesome Virtual Work Experience programs for young people across Australia aged 14-19. These programs are a great way to get a taste of your dream career, all from your own home. And they help you learn some valuable skills along the way as well.

 

The programs run all year, during school and the holidays, so you can sign up to start at any time. The programs typically run for four weeks, with a 2-4 hour commitment per week. Best of all, they’re totally free.

SHE CODES - FREE ONE DAY CODING WORKSHOP FOR WOMEN

Saturday 22 October | 9:00am - 4:00pm | Riff, Saint Georges Terrace

Join us for a day of coding fun in a friendly and safe environment at Riff in Perth! We offer beginner-level HTML, CSS, Django and Python workshops in a self-paced environment mentored by industry professionals. Plus we offer lunch, cupcakes and a quick dance break in the afternoon. No experience is necessary - just a laptop, a sense of adventure and a willingness to learn.

 

Our goal is to increase the diversity in the tech community, spark collaboration, creativity, and expand networks – and we can’t wait for you to join us on this journey.

EngCONNECT YOUR CAREER - ENVIRONMENT ENGINEERING

Have you ever wondered where a STEM career could take you? EngConnect Your Career is an Engineers Australia initiated event series for students, graduates and industry professionals looking to transition their STEM career, keen to hear from engineers about where their engineering studies have taken them. This session will feature speakers from Environmental engineering disciplines and showcase the diversity of career opportunities.

 

After a welcome to Engineers Australia, a number of engineers will share their career stories with you, followed by networking with speakers, and engineers from a number of Engineers Australia’s technical groups.

NIE UCAT AND PATHWAYS INTO MEDICINE WEBINAR

Are you currently in Years 10, 11 or 12? Are you considering a career in medicine or dentistry? If you have answered yes, then you may need to sit a compulsory entry exam known as UCAT (Undergraduate Medicine and Health Sciences Admission Test) before you can apply to certain universities.

 

The National Institute of Education (NIE) is proud to present the free information seminar all about UCAT and the undergraduate pathways into medicine, dentistry, and some other health science programs. This is not a sales/advertising/promotional seminar. The session is packed with invaluable information during which we will be covering the following topics and more.
