Principal's News

Mr Rodrigues

Dear Families,

Term 3, week 4 and we are now almost at the halfway point of the term. So much is happening here at Trinity which keeps us all extremely busy each day. I am aware that with all these things going on, including book week and school concert, that our communication is extremely important so that everyone in the community is aware of dates and places as each week passes.  A reminder of course that reading our school newsletter each week and checking our Important Dates page will help us all to stay informed.  Please also know that parents can email myself, the office or classroom teachers if you need clarification or may have missed anything sent out via our Skoolbag App or by email.

School Concert

As you should all now be aware, our School Concert is to be held at the Hawthorn Arts Centre, 360 Burwood Rd Hawthorn. Doors will open at 6:30 for a 7pm start. Tickets will soon be made available online and a link sent to all families. Ms Stanton and our class teachers have been busy rehearsing scenes and we will communicate costume requirements for each level.  With the story line we have created I can assure you costumes will be simple and easy for families to organize.

You will have received a letter today (see attached) from Our Concert Committee with more details and a request for assistance to help with backdrops and some sewing.

Soccer

Congratulations to our Senior Soccer Team who were successful in reaching the Regional level of interschool soccer this week. Thank you to Dominic, Nicolai's dad for taking on the coaching role which really helped us and added to a great experience for our children. Whilst we did extremely well on the day we were unfortunately not able to not make it to the next stage.  Well done to all involved and we'll be back next year!

St Ignatius Day Mass

On Tuesday Fr Trung invited our whole school community to join him at St Ignatius Church to celebrate the Feast of St Ignatius of Loyola. It was a special experience for us as many students may not have seen our beautiful parish church. Our children were once again outstanding in their behaviour and appreciation of this experience enjoying a walk in the sunshine from Trinity. Fr Trung even surprised us all with a little thankyou as we all left the church.

Prayer of St Ignatius Loyola

Dearest Lord, teach me to be generous; teach me to serve You as You deserve; to give and not to count the cost,to fight and not to heed the wounds, to toil and not to seek for rest, to labour and not to ask for reward save that of knowing I am doing Your Will.

Amen

Father's Day Breakfast Friday 2nd September

We are looking forward to a special celebration for all our fathers and father figures who might be available to join us for breakfast on Friday 2nd September.  Our Parents and Friends are looking for some support and volunteers to help with the Breakfast and our Father's Day gift stall. If you are free please contact Sophie Issa or Jenny Gill.
