with Mr Carver
On the 17th of November, Molong Central School hosted Year 6 students from Manildra, Cudal, Stuart Town, Cumnock, Orange and Grose View Public School’s for their Year 6 – 7 Orientation Day. The day was filled with activities for the student to get to know one another and their way around the school. It all started off with chats from our Principal, Vice Principal, Careers Adviser, Student Leaders, Student Support Officer and Mr Carver.
The students even had the chance to experience some real High School lessons. Thanks to Ms Tonkin and Mrs Loud, the kids were able to test different liquids and their densities, making a density rainbow. Whilst one class were transforming into mad scientists, the others were exploring their musical talents on guitar with Mrs Logan playing Tones and I’s well-known song ‘Dance Monkey’.
The day finished off with some sport period 5, thanks to our sport leaders and a chat from our local Police Liaison Officer. Mr Carver and the staff at Molong Central School are extremely excited for our new Year 7 students to begin their High School journey.
