PRINCIPAL'S REPORT

Carly Avery

Dear Parents and Friends,

Yesterday was our Transition Day for 2022, with all students working in their learning space for next year. It was great to see students moving into these classes smoothly. As we finalise details for next year, Year 5 students have chosen a design for their Year 6 t-shirt. When the costing is finalised, Year 5 parents will be emailed to confirm orders for early next year.

Next week we will celebrate the Year Six Graduation. I thank Karen Prebble for coordinating our Year Five parents to organise this event. We will also gather as a whole school on Wednesday morning for our End of Year Mass. Parents and family members are invited to join us in this celebration. (Vaccination certificates will need to be checked on entry).

End of Year Mass 2021

When: Wednesday 15th December

Time: 9:15 am

Where: St.Joseph's Church

All are welcome to attend our whole school End of Year Mass. The Foundation students will be presenting a Nativity Reflection.  Pete Humphreys will be singing at our Mass.

End of Year Celebration

Below is my email sent yesterday.

Students are certainly looking forward to tomorrow evening, our first chance to gather together in quite a while!

Given the weather forecast, we have made the decision to change venues. I would like to thank Trish Broom for her time yesterday and for accommodating us tomorrow evening at Beechworth Secondary College.

Following the presentations from classes, there are several outdoor, undercover spaces where families can have picnics together. We have been asked not to have food and drink inside.

Entry will be via the main door. Families will need to sign in, and vaccination certificates checked upon entry. There will be several staff and school council members checking certificates. We ask that you allow time for this process.

  • Venue: Beechworth Secondary College- New Building
  • Time: 6:00pm
  • Picnic: To follow the formal part of the evening in undercover outdoor areas
  • Entry: Via one main door, families will need to sign in and vaccination certificates checked upon entry
  • As per Child Safe Legislation- this is an alcohol-free event.

Reports

This semester student reports will be sent home via PAM (Parent Access Module). There will be a notification that reports are available via email, which will direct you to PAM and how to access your child’s report.

Should you have any problems please contact the school. If you do not have access to the internet, please contact the office and a hard copy will be printed for you and sent home on Tuesday 14th December.

We encourage you to access your child/ren’s report via PAM as from next year this will be the way in which reports, permission notes, booking for interviews and sharing your children's medical information with the school.
