Persistence
This week, talk to your children about the idea that if you want something in the long-run, now’s the time to work hard for it! For example, if they had their eye on buying something that is worth a lot of money, their hard work may be to save their pocket money instead of buying lots of little things from the milk bar each week.
Goal setting is important and when you achieve goals you experience success. If you wanted to get a good mark at school what would be something hard that you might have to do, or what would you give up so that you could get it? Have a chat with your children and set some goals together. As a family help to keep each other on track to achieve these goals.
