EDUCATION WEEK

Education week is on, and this year’s theme is ‘Active Learners: Move, Make, Motivate’ which celebrates physical activity, hands-on-learning and student voice in education. This week the library has organised fun opportunities for students to get involved. Each day the library is focusing on one library research skill, including interactive sorting games! Education week in the library concludes on Friday the 19th with a scavenger hunt in the library.

NATIONAL SIMULTANEOUS STORYTIME

National Simultaneous Storytime is on May 24th at 11am. Every year a picture book, written and illustrated by an Australian author and illustrator, is read simultaneously in libraries, schools, pre-schools, childcare centres, family homes, bookshops and many other places around the country. This colourful, vibrant, fun event aims to promote the value of reading and literacy, using an Australian children's book that explores age-appropriate themes, and addresses key learning areas of the National Curriculum from Prep to Year 6. Join us as we prepare to celebrate the 23rd annual Simultaneous Storytime in May with; The Speedy Sloth by Rebecca Young
