Sport Captains' Report 

Sport Captains Here!

Just touching on senior school sport on Tuesday 10th of May, a big thankyou to everyone who participated yesterday to represent our school both students and teachers it was an amazing turnout of teams that got to compete yesterday! The sports that went out were Netball, Footy Badminton and Soccer.

As for our Girls Netball team, Mixed Netball team and Girls Soccer team, they are all progressing onto the next round after the Netball Girls were undefeated all day, the Mixed Netball finished second with only losing 1 game, and the Girls Soccer team who won to Diamond Valley College 6-0! Well done all on a great day of senior school sport!

On the 4th of May, St Helena had 67 athletes compete at Division Athletics Championships which were held at Meadowglen Athletics Track. Each athlete either competed in individual events or in a relay. Every athlete that competed in an event went out there and represented St Helena with pride and made the school very proud. St Helena finished 1st overall as a school on the day finishing on 786 points to Viewbank 2nd on 719 points and Diamond Valley 3rd on 681 points. 

Congratulations to Year 12s:  Saxon Howkins, Callum James, Kye Wassell and Isaac Owen who competed in their final high school division athletics championships. St Helena entered 8 relay teams and 5 out of the 8 teams, along with 34 individual event athletes have qualified for regional aths champs which are being held on the 30th of August also at Meadowglen. Congratulations to all athletes that competed!
