Happy Shavuot!

Bonne Fête de Chavouot !

Shavuot, which translates to "weeks," is a holiday commemorating the end of the seven-week Omer counting period connecting the Passover festival of freedom to our first free festival. On Shavuot we remember receiving the 10 commandments and later, at the same time, remembering when we brought the first fruits of the season to our temple. In Israel, Shavuot is a magical time, the weather gets warm and it is a perfect holiday time for family gatherings and enjoying nature.

We celebrate the Torah through a night of engaging talks and discussions and spend the day enjoying delicious dairy products. It's difficult to go wrong with cheesecake; with its creamy goodness and graham cracker crust. Here's a quick recipe we thought you might enjoy!
