CROSS COUNTRY

Congratulations to the students that participated in the Divisional Cross Country today Wednesday 31 May, representing Wembley PS. We thank Jonathan Gill and Renee Johnson, for supporting the students, and the parents/family members that attended in support of the students! We are very proud of the effort, team work and persistence demonstrated by the students today. ABSOLUTE SUPERSTARS!

PCAva BFor answering questions in a respectful manner during our Fire Safety Incursion. Ava, you set such a wonderful example to your peers about how to interact with others in such a positive way. I am so proud of you! 
PDEila HFor the fantastic effort that she put into her retell of “Who Sank the Boat”. Eila it has been wonderful to see your confidence when writing just grow and grow. You know how to spell all your keyring words now, and always stretch out any unfamiliar words and record the sounds that you hear. You are incredible. Keep up the amazing work!
PEAlina DFor your fantastic "Who Sank the Boat" writing.  You did a wonderful job sounding out words like 'boat' and sinking'.  Well done and keep up the amazing effort!
1ATilly MFor showing fantastic persistence when solving some number sequences this week. You were able to identify the rule using your rock to count on from numbers above a hundred and identify the final digit pattern. You are an absolute superstar! Keep up the great work, Tilly!
1BArcher BFor always being a fantastic listener, Archer always comes to the floor in a calm and respectful manner. This allows Archer to have clarity around what a task expects of him and he has been producing some wonderful classwork. Well done Arch!
1COliverFor his hard work in learning number patterns when counting above 100. It has been wonderful to see your confidence in maths blossom Olly. Congratulations!

2AIsadora DFor her wonderful efforts finding patterns when skip counting.  Isa, you have been working very hard on your number sequences, skip counting using repeated addition and identifying the final digit pattern.   Keep up the amazing work!

If there are any acknowledgements that parents/students wish to share with us and can be celebrated with our wider community, we ask that you email us at wembley.ps@education.vic.gov.au with the student/s name/s, a summary of the acknowledgement and any photos that you would be comfortable sharing and we will aim to include it in our fortnightly WPS newsletter.
