It's SHOWTIME!

Our talented performing arts program is presenting Aladdin Jr this week for THREE SHOWS ONLY at 7.30pm on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday night at the George Jenkins Theatre, Frankston.

Please invite all your family and friends to buy tickets to the shows and start spreading the word within the school community to purchase your tickets. Prices are only $20-$25 each.

 

 

Prep Readiness Session

This Thursday 18 May at 2pm, the College is hosting a one-hour school-readiness information session in G-Block for community parents and carers to help their children to be ready to start school in 2024. Guests will be provided with information regarding some of the important developmental stages that are crucial for a successful transition.

Bayside Raiders Basketball Clinic

The amazing Mrs Ulli Austermann and other volunteers, who coordinate the school basketball club, the Bayside Raiders, ran a Basketball clinic last week to encourage participation in a fabulous school sporting competition. 

 

Ulli organised coaches from the Frankston Blues and the students were blessed to have a current member of the Opals Australian Basketball team teach them skills in dribbling and ball management. A massive thanks goes out to Ulli, who tirelessly serves the Bayside community. Community Morning Tea

There will be a community morning tea for parents and carers on Wednesday 31 May in G-Block hosted by the Bayside Family Network

Primary District Cross Country

Selected students will be representing the College at Primary District Cross Country event on Friday 19 May at Woodleigh Senior School. Please ensure you give permission for your child to attend through Sentral. 

SIS Cross Country

Selected Secondary students will be representing the College at the SIS Cross Country scheduled to be held on Wednesday 31 May at Casey Fields. Students will travel to and from the venue via bus. Please ensure you provide permission for your child to participate via Sentral. 

College AGM

The Bayside Christian College Board warmly invites Association members, College parents/carers and staff to attend our 2023 Annual General Meeting. The Association for Christian Education of Frankston Inc. will meet on Thursday 22 June at 7PM in G-Block on South Campus. 

 

This is a great opportunity to engage in discussions on the school’s performance and the shaping of future opportunities. Supper provided. Please ensure you indicate your attendance by no later than Thursday 15 June at https://www.trybooking.com/CIDWL

Primary District Athletics

The Primary District Athletics (Track) event will run on Wednesday 30 August at Ballam Park. Further correspondence will be sent to families in the coming weeks.

Trades Skills Centre Cafe

The North Campus Cafe has a new winter menu with hot meals available every Thursday! 

  • Pasta Napoletana (Vegetarian) $4.00
  • Nachos with Salsa and Cheese $3.00 and $50c for extra toppings (Sour cream and Guacamole available)
  • Fried Dim Sims $1.50
  • Chicken Nuggets 6 for $3.00 
  • Nuggets and Small Chips $5 
  • Brownies $2.50
  • As well as sausage rolls, donuts, party pies and hot chips!

The Cafe is open every Thursday from 10:30am to 1:30pm and serve to the public as well as College staff and Years 10-12 students.

Community Playgroup

The Bayside Community Playgroup runs every Thursday from 9am to 10:30am for children aged 0-5 years for indoor play, craft, painting, creative play, story time and sing-a-long while parents and carers supervise playtime and enjoy a cuppa and light morning tea. Cost is $2 per child to attend each week. Please pack a nut-free snack and water bottle for your child. No booking required.

Prayer Group

The Bayside Prayer Group meet every Monday morning from 9am to 9.30am in the Community Room (M2) to pray for the College. Parents, carers and staff are welcome to join at any time. The group also frequently meet at 7.30pm on Monday evenings to walk around the College grounds. For more information please contact Bek Shelling on 0403 804 972.
