Annual Music Concert Reflections

Here are a few reflections of the evening from our students.

Caleb Wong & Lin Yatsuzuka, Year 12

On 19 August, students from Prep to Year 9 were finally able to perform at the Robert Blackwood Hall after two years of online performances.

Students and staff had been looking forward to this day and their excitement was evident from the rehearsals.

The concert was successful, highlighting a variety of instrumental ensembles and choirs who performed in front of parents and friends.

There were many mesmerising performances on the night.

One of the highlights of the evening was our School tradition of massed singing. The theme of this year’s massed singing was ‘home’ which reminded everyone of the importance of belonging.

On behalf of the School community, we are truly grateful to all the music staff, stage managers, backstage organisers and teachers who assisted during the day of rehearsal and the evening performance, devoting their time to making this concert successful. In addition, a special mention goes out to the students who participated on the night for their exceptional musical skills and passion for music.

Renae Bekas, Year 11

The Annual Music Concert, held at the School for the first time since 2019, featured performances from various choirs and orchestras and involved students from all year levels.

After our two-year drought, it was a huge privilege to be able to participate in such an impressive performance!

The high-quality performances on the night were a testament to the incredible talent and commitment of our students and teachers, and gave us the opportunity to showcase our hard work over the past few months.

Congratulations to all who took part and for their efforts in preparing for this amazing concert!
