Spectacular Students!

Congratulations to our fabulous Year 6 Mass Dance team on their dynamic performances at this year’s State Schools Spectacular! John Cain Arena came alive last Saturday thanks to the energy of the talented student dancers – along with singers, musicians, circus artists, puppeteers and skaters from over 200 Victorian government schools. Our students were delighted to be singled out for a backstage visit from the Assistant Director of Dance, Hara Papoulias, who gave them glowing feedback about their freestyle dance skills. The students were also popular with the mass choir and fellow mass dancers – providing impromptu entertainment in the form of Aladdin Jr songs during the long hours queueing backstage!

While students’ highlights ranged from being filmed up close for the TV special, to watching past student, Cameron Poole, perform on the main stage as a principal vocalist in “Eleanor Rigby” and “Pompei” – all students agreed that the experience was one they will fondly remember for the rest of their lives.
