Performing Arts

This week in Performing Arts:
Performing Arts
Continuing our Drama focus in Performing Arts, we have been learning about the importance of using our face, body and voice when acting and improvising. The children are very capable when showing emotions with their face, changing their voices to suit different characters and manipulating their bodies into shapes to express different emotions/characters.
We have also had a lot of fun having our 'Privilege' lessons in Performing Arts. The children gradually build up to achieving their 'Privilege' lesson when they have consistently been showing all the school values of respect, safety, friendship and learning in Performing Arts classes. They have been fantastic, so were awarded their 'Privilege' lesson last week, whereby they were able to choose the Performing Arts activities we could play for the day. We had so much fun with the children voting for; musical statues, charades, freeze frame, body percussion games, solo piano performances, dance parties and many more drama games.
