Japanese

This week in Japanese:
Some students have recently come to me to tell me that they have been teaching Japanese words or sentences to their family members. This makes me so happy and proud of our Monty language learners!
Year 3 and 4 have been learning how to say ‘I eat …’ ‘I don’t eat …’ and looking at grammar and sentence structures. The students have recently practised making sentences using word cards. They also listened to ten sentences all in Japanese and found out what their teachers eat and don’t eat!
Foundation students have been learning colours and shapes in Japanese. Many of them now know the colours and they can say what colour they like. Sign language (Auslan) has been used to reinforce key vocabulary in class and many Foundation students have been really embracing it. I am always in awe of of how their keen eyes find all the lovely colours and shapes in our surroundings. Keep up the great work Foundation students!
