Physical Education
Hi Families,
I hope you have had a lovely break and ready for the term ahead! Once again we have some more sport ahead of us which I am really looking forward to.
This week:
Division Athletics - Wednesday 12th October
Congratulations to those students that will be representing St James at the Division Athletics on Wednesday.
Our team can be found here
The schedule for the day can be found here
I will meet the team at recess tomorrow to give them any last tips and information. If you are taking your children to the venue, the schedule for the day is above. Please ensure that your child/ren are there in enough time for them to have a bit of a warm up and ready for the times scheduled. If circumstances have changed for some, I will be leaving St James by bus at 8.50am on Wednesday, with those students that require transport for the day. I am hoping we arrive by 9.10 at the latest. We will station ourselves undercover and cheer each other on so please have the students come and join us.
We wish all of these students the best of luck.
Hoop Time Finals - Friday 14 October
On Friday we will have 8 St James students representing us at the next round of basketball finals. We will be playing at Kilsyth against Billanook, Bimbadeen Heights, Moorolbark, Our Lady of the Pines and Yarra Rd Primary School. Parents/Friends are welcome to come along and support the students.

Volleyball Division Finals - Friday 14 October
As if the week wasn’t busy enough, we also have another team representing St James at the Volleyball division Finals. This is the progression from when the students won the Gala Day back in March, so this has been a long time coming. They will be playing Surrey Hills, Beverley Hills and Nunawading at Mullum Mullum Stadium. Families are welcome to come and support the students.
We wish the following students the best of luck also

Twilight Sports - Monday 17 October
I am really looking forward to being part of our first community Twilight Sports since 2019 and so are the students. Fingers and toes crossed for some beautiful weather like today. The students have been prepped, they will have chanted and be ready and raring to go by Monday! I look forward to seeing you there to celebrate what has been a huge, successful year of sport.
