Principal's Report

R U OK?  ( Robyn prepared this and I thought the message is so important that I have copied it here)

RU OK? DAY is great for reminding us to ask ‘RU OK? But it is not just about one day a year.  It reminds us to look out for each other EVERY DAY – that family member, that friend, that neighbour, our workmates, that cashier, that elderly neighbour, that single parent, that lonely person sitting in the shopping centre, that person who is struggling with their mental health, etc…

Just ‘BE THERE’ and follow the RU OK ? mantra:

It was a great day -thanks Robyn, Don and Zeus, Julian and JSC and as always Jimmy Harris for the sensational photos.

SCHOOL REVIEW:

We had our Final Review day on Wednesday. The Review of ACPS over the past 4 years has been very interesting. I am excited about the future directions that we have set in the Strategic Plan- ACPS has a very positive future!

Thanks to Jimmy Harris for being on the Review Panel , all our staff for being involved, our parents and our students. We have been able to give the reviewers a good picture of Life at ACPS.

COME ALONG....

Sunday Sept 11, 9am-11am come and join us- please!

 school.

The Arts Festival is on next Tuesday 13th Sept from 4pm - 5:30pm & Sausage Sizzle 3:30-4

Students, parents, families and friends are warmly invited to the last Tuesday of this term, the 13th Sept, from 4 - 5:30pm, for our bi-annual Arts Festival. Our wonderful students have been working hard throughout the term to design, make and create a variety of fabulous artworks. Students will have their work on show in their classrooms, in the library, and in the art room between 4-5pm. See your child’s art and visit different classrooms to see what other students have been busy creating. Plus, answer a quiz question from every classroom to be in the running for some art prizes! From 5-5:30pm, watch preps through to grade 4 students perform items in the theatre, and enjoy an early viewing of an item from the Lion King which stars many students. Come and share in this exciting afternoon with us!

The sausage sizzle will be running before the Festival begins from 3:30-4pm - hopefully all orders have been put in for the sausage sizzle.

The canteen will also be open to sell drinks, popcorn and icy treats (no pre-ordering necessary).

Enjoy your weekend!
