Junior School

Prep - Year 2

The junior school were lucky to get a session in the kitchen at the end of last term. 

They had a great time reading the book 'The Little Red Hen' and then made herb damper. We discussed the safe use of the kitchen utensils and good hygiene practices to have when cooking in the kitchen. After exploring the herbs grown in the kitchen garden, the students smelled each one and identified what they had seen or used in their own kitchens at home. We were so proud of everyone for trying new and different food from what they were used to eating. What a lovely time we had enjoying the food we prepared with our friends!
