2022 Canberra Short Film Festival (CSFF)

I am emailing to inform you of the release of my second short film for this year titled 'Methane: An Underdog Villain of Global Warming'. This is a short 2-minute exploration of how, besides carbon dioxide, methane is also a very significant but largely ignored cause of short-term global warming and how we can try diminishing methane emissions.

While this film has not been successful in any accolades so far, it still marks an important milestone, since it is the first time I have collaborated with a renowned expert for a film - Professor David Karoly, one of the most eminent, leading climate scientists in the world, has served as the scientific advisor for this project and has also appeared in the film.

The film can be found here: https://youtu.be/xAh1aBkTmMI

I would like to thank Professor Karoly for his generous input and assistance with this project. Additionally, I would also like to express my gratitude towards Dr Denney and Dr Driscoll, who essentially fulfilled the roles of executive producers - helping me get in contact with Professor Karoly, scheduling shoots and managing the project. This film could not have been made without you!

Yearbook

Thank you so much to all the students and staff who sent in articles and images for the yearbook!  I know its often hard emailing them to me amongst exam prep, classes and teaching - so I really appreciate it.

I would like to also publicly thanks Oviya Ponkathirvarathan who took on the Yearbook role and lead with such flair! She followed everyone up, had meetings during lunch time and to keep it all running on time. Thank you Ovi - could not have done it without you.

The 2023 cover is amazing!!!!

Thomas Ma and Jason Wang both collaborated on the piece and if you look closely you can see Mr Corkill, Mr Chisholm and Mr Mackinnon leading us all into space.... Well done! So talented and creative.

The books are now in the printing phase and so I look forward to you all receiving your books at the end of the year.

Many thanks,

Erin Hayley
