Deputy Principal Staff and Students Report

Year 12
It has been a blessing to be able to farewell our Year 12 students in person last week. With the Presentation Night, Farewell Assembly, Breakfast and Dress-Up morning there were many events to mark this very significant occasion for students finishing their schooling. A big thank you to Mr Brusco who did an amazing job preparing the Year 12 Farewell Assembly, Breakfast and Dress-up Day. Included within this was the ordering, sorting and packing of a Care Gift Pack for each Year 12 student with numerous and quite wide-ranging items. A big thank you to Mr Brusco on behalf of our community for going to great lengths and spending hours and hours to ensure the occasion is celebrated appropriately.
A big thank you also to Ms Georgia Smith for her coordination of the Presentation Night. It was great to be able to come together in person and celebrate and acknowledge some outstanding efforts and achievements in our community. Congratulations to all the students who received awards.
Once again, when we hear of issues at different schools throughout the state celebrating the end of year for their Year 12 students, we are very proud of our students and the respect they have shown for our community over these days. A big thank you and congratulations to the class of 2022.
A reminder that the Year 12 VCE students may be at school for revision sessions or to study in the Resource Centre during the exam period. If students do come on to campus for Child Safety purposes, they are asked to sign in at Reception and wear school uniform.
We keep the Year 12 students in our prayers. The VCE exams commence on Wednesday 26 October 2022. Looking further ahead, a reminder the Graduation Mass and Graduation Dinner is on Thursday 17 November 2022.
Child Safety
We are very grateful to the students and parents who contact the school and come forward to share when there is a concern of Child Safety. We remind students and families, please come forward to one of the members of our Child Safety Team if there are any concerns or issues.
Mid Term Break
A reminder that there is a mid-term break on Monday 31 October 2022 and Tuesday 1 November 2022 (Melbourne Cup Day). There will be no school on these days for students in Years 7-11. The VCE exams will still be taking place at the College on Monday 31 October 2022 for relevant students and the College will be open for the exams only.
Exams
Looking ahead exams are coming up. A reminder that the Year 11 Exams commence on Monday 14 November 2022. The Year 10 Exams commence on Thursday 17 November 2022.
As we move towards the middle part of the term, we invite our students to have good routines with study, sleep, homework etc so to be able to achieve the best outcomes from the opportunities at Nazareth. If there is anything that students are struggling with, or need some help with, please contact your child’s Pastoral Teacher so we can offer support.
God Bless
