Classes 5/6, 4/5, and 3/4 with Dave, Mel, Kathryn, and Joel

Year 5 and 6 Students share their wonderful picture story books. This term in writing 4/5K and 3/4JK are writing picture story books. Our classes came together last week to discuss the writing process including the importance of understanding who our audience is, and how to carefully plan our work. We loved hearing from some wonderful year 5 and 6 students who shared their own picture story books and told us how they developed their characters and storylines, created their own artwork and published their books.

Class 1/2 with Anna

Over this term 1/2 will be given a design brief to design, create and evaluate. So far we have created an aeroplane and a bridge. This weeks brief was to create a picture frame that can hold a photo and can stand on a table without holding it. It’s been fantastic to see the creativity and variation of these products.  Well done 1/2 👏

Division Athletics

On Friday 7th October in Albury students competed in athletics; our students should be so proud of how they represented our school on the day with excellent efforts and great sportsmanship.

Writers Festival

Last Friday our school was invited to attend the Writer's Festival being held in Mount Beauty, and heard from Authors, including some local talent. River and Suni from grade 5/6 entered the writing competition and won.

They received some signed books from author Amelia Mellor who spoke to the children on the day.
