In and Out of the Classroom

Hands On

Year 10s have been building billy carts in Science in the past week as a part of their physics project.

Year 7A were in for a treat, using Oreos to learn about the phases of the moon. What a great example of practical, hands-on learning!

Maydena Bike Park

Earlier this week, Cycling Elective Classes visited the incredible Maydena Bike Park. We learnt about the recent history of area, and about many aspects of the Park’s business model, potential career pathways, how to be a good customer, and as a bonus we even got to ride some of the amazing trails. There was some tough, but satisfying climbing, followed by some sweet descents.

The boys got to meet and learn from the Bike Park General Manager Rhys Ellis, as well as some of his awesome team that keep the hill functioning as well as it does. Huge thanks to Rhys, Ryan, Bec and both Sams for taking time out from their super busy days, to provide such an awesome learning opportunity - all of the boys really appreciated it.
