STUDENT WELLBEING

Student Wellbeing

Last week at assembly the Year Six students spoke of their experiences at Young Leaders Day.

In their presentation they spoke about the positive role models who they heard speak at this day and the power that the speakers words had over them. What was most impressive though, was the connection they made between the personal qualities the speakers possessed and the school values that are taught at SFX; Respectful, Resilient, Responsible and Safe.

In this world which is fast becoming one where ‘anything goes’ it is important to reflect on the values and examples we are setting for the children. This is because they are going to learn more from what they see than from what they are told. We need to become attuned and realigned to what is most important; the raising of our children and the raising of our own standards in the examples that we set.

What are the four values that your life is centred around? In reflecting on this question we become aware of the positive role models we can all aspire to and through our actions provide the examples that our children deserve.

Wishing your family all the very best for Easter.
