BOOK ILLUSTRATOR

Congratulations to Jack Dunn (Year 9) for being selected to illustrate a story written by Mrs. Ellie Parker, a freelance writer for The Age, who is writing her first children’s picture book.

Jack first came to the attention of Mrs Parker while he was sketching an image of the courtyard of the hotel that he and his family were holidaying at in January, this year. Ellie Parker, the daughter in law of the owners of the establishment, saw his sketch and approached him to collaborate on the children’s book she was hoping to write called, “The Man Who Fished.” A few short months later Jack received the script of the book and began illustrating.

He has now finished his drawings which are to be delivered to Ellie, and the book will be published soon after. We hope to see the finished book next year.
