Easter Liturgy

On Thursday 7 April, the College will mark the Easter season, most notably the Passion of our Lord, with our Easter liturgies. We will divide the College into smaller groups for a more meaningful liturgy, using the College Gym and the parish church of Our Lady of Dolours. A number of the Stations of the Cross will be re-enacted and the College Performing Arts Department will be providing musical accompaniment and dramatisation. Our Easter liturgies are the culmination of our Lenten season preparation and therefore many of the stories and images from our Caritas Project Compassion collections will be used during the reflection phases of our liturgy. Be sure to look out for images from our liturgies in the next issue of Woodchatta. We hope that in the final days of the term each student can donate a gold coin to our Project Compassion collection so that we can make a meaningful contribution to Caritas’ effort to improve the lives and dignity of individuals living in poverty throughout the world.

Thank you also to Mr Ryan Balboa, Ms Leanne Lee and the Edmund Rice Society for their organisation of, and attendance at, our Pancake mornings each Tuesday during Lent.

Thanks also go to the Finance Team for their assistance each morning during Lent with sorting, counting, tallying and banking the collected funds.
