Dear Parents and Carers

Review

As previously mentioned, St Bede's this year is under review.  Every Catholic school throughout Melbourne is reviewed every four years. Helen Greenhill is the school reviewer allocated to St Bede's  this year.  She was previously a principal at St Paul the Apostle in Endeavour Hills. Helen joined us today to talk to staff, parents and students to get a feel for the school. Helen will provide a report to the school board in early May.

Harmony Day

Thank you to all the students and parents who supported harmony day by wearing a touch of orange. Thank you also to Kahli Schroder who organised the incursions as well as Harmony Day activities. There is a special tuckshop menu this week to also celebrate Harmony Day.

Enrolments for 2023

A reminder that enrolments for 2023 are now open. I ask that if you know of anyone who has a child commencing school in 2023 to book a tour through the office. Word of mouth is our biggest advertisement.

COVID 19

We still have cases on COVID 19 within our school.  The children in Yrs 3-6 are constantly reminded to wear masks inside. Once again I ask that you reinforce this with your child. I understand that wearing a mask can be difficult ( adults and children) but it is an important preventative method.

The next lot of RATs for the last two weeks of this term arrived today. Please collect them from the office or email myself ( Chris is away on Long Service Leave) if you want them sent home with your child  and I will put them in the classroom tub for collection.

Please Note: Important change to the school operational guidelines that that was communicated to the school yesterday;

Students and staff who have tested positive for COVID-19, have completed their 7-day isolation period and are subsequently asymptomatic do not need to undertake surveillance testing for eight weeks.  

Uniform

We have been informed by Bob Stewart that some of the winter uniform might not be in stock until at least late April. If this is the case we will need to adjust the change overtime for the winter uniform. I will inform you before the end of term.

Bob Stewart- Kew store will be open on Sunday April 24th from 10am to 4pm, ahead of the Anzac day holiday

Prep Welcome Mass

The Prep welcome mass for 2022 will be held on Saturday April 2nd at the 6.00pm mass.  All Prep families and their  extended families are invited to attend.

House calls

Just a reminder to get your entries in for the naming of our House colours. We have had some wonderful nominations.  Its going to be hard to choose!!!!!!!!
